A hot meal delivered to victims after a disaster, blood when it is needed most, shelter when there is nowhere else to turn, an emergency message delivered to a member of the Armed Forces from their family -- these are just some of the ways that gifts are put to work through the American Red Cross. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the American Red Cross is empowering people to perform extraordinary acts in the face of emergencies.

Hello All,
My name is Travis Jomha, I'm head coach of the Stony Plain Peewee Bombers. Just wanted to let you know about and extend an invitation to your organization to attend the first annual "Northern Alberta Football Camp". This will be a two day camp on June 12 & 13 at West District Park and is open to Atom, Peewee & Bantam players. The camp is modified full contact (full equipment required), and will feature instructors including current and former U of A and CIAU players, and area high school coaches. It will consist of both general and position specific training. Registration fee is $95.00, which includes lunch each day and a camp jersey.
Just to be clear, although the camp is being organized by SPMF it is not a "Bombers Camp". Our goal is to run a top flight camp which will benefit all those who attend. You'll note that the registration fee is significantly lower than other 2 day camps, which are generally $150 - $250. This is because we are only looking to cover the actual costs involved and not to "turn a profit". The camp is limited to 120-150 participants, we are anticipating 60-75 kids from Stony Plain. We would like to fill the remaining spots with kids from a similar size and like-minded organization as our own, which is why we are extending the invitation to Rose City Football and the Buffaloes! Our leagues and teams have always enjoyed a good working and playing relationship and we hope to see you all on June 12 & 13!

Game Story
The Buffaloes and Predators saved their best for last! It was a great game, a battle of skill and scoring, interceptions, fumbles and amazing recoveries on both sides of the scrimmage line, narrowing down to a tight finish.
The Predators began their effort strong in the first half, posting five touchdowns on the scoreboard, the first four each with a good kick conversion point after by #10 Riley Nedeljak. Of the first four majors, two were carried in by #20 Dylan Henkel, two by running back #52 Chris McDougall. The Buffaloes began their scoring with less than a minute to go in the half, with a touchdown by #68 Daniel Christianson, followed up by a two-point conversion nailed by #11 Luke. Just seconds later, on the kick-off, the fifth TD of the half by the Predators was a heart pounding 70 yard run into the end zone by #52 Chris McDougall. The Buffalo defensive line blocked the last kick conversion attempt, leaving the score at half-time at 8 – 34.
The second half belonged to the Buffaloes, who clamped down defensively on the Predators and cranked up their offensive output. They began early with a major just two minutes into the second half, by #11 Luke, topped off with a two point conversion by #86 Michael B. At 6:44 into the third quarter, #7 Brad Phillips on the Predator defence recovered a Buffalo fumble to put the Predator offence back on the field, but this was immediately answered with a quarterback sack by Buffalo # 18 Caleb Reed and no scoring on that set of downs.
Still in the third, Predator quarterback #20 Dylan Henkel, under pressure from the Buffalo defence, tossed away the ball, straight into the arms of a Buffalo player. He ran the interception, which looked like a touchdown. He was tackled by #7 Brad Phillips within 10 yards of the goal line, forcing a Buffalo fumble. Predator #35 Jason Rybak recovered the fumble in the end zone, bringing the Predator offence back to the 20 yard line, but once again the Buffalo defence prevailed.
Fourth quarter numbers began with a two-point safety given up by the Predators to the Buffaloes about four minutes into the play. A minute and a half later the Buffaloes brought home a touchdown but were unable to complete the two-point conversion attempt. Inside the last two minutes, #86 Michael B. scored another Buffalo major on a perfect 71 yard passing play, no conversion point, score Buffaloes 30, Predators 34.
With less than a minute in the game, Predator # 24 Jeffrey Shaw caught a pass for a first down at the Buffalo 25th yard line. Next play, #81 Adam Frend also caught a first down pass, at the Buffalo four yard line. Second down attempt, 46 seconds remaining, #81 Adam Frend recovered a team mate’s fumble for a loss of 3 yards. Third down, on their doorstep, the Buffalo defence denied the Predators another touchdown. Final score: Buffaloes 30, Predators 34.
Congratulations and thank you to the young men and women of both teams for an exciting, well-played, hard-fought and fun game for all of us to enjoy. You showed us how football should be, with sportsmanship and pride from beginning to end. Thank you to the coaches on both sides for passing on the right qualities to your players. This was the first year for the Camrose Buffaloes Bantam program and we can be sure they will be back even better next year.
The trip was a great success, thanks to our volunteers.
